People who have worked alongside Sean, in their own words.

I've known Sean Hunt for the better part of a decade, and I got to know him the way you really learn what someone is made of: across a table, on a hard problem, with no easy answers. When rural schools across our region were on the line, Sean was the trustee who kept municipal leaders from Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin in the same room and kept us working the problem instead of blaming each other. He came to every meeting having read the material, he asked direct questions, and he didn't stop asking when the answers were uncomfortable. I've sat across from a lot of people in public life. Not many combine that kind of preparation with the patience to bring people along.

I've served as a mayor and as a county warden, and I can tell you that being a mayor in a county like Middlesex is two jobs. One is leading your own council. The other is sitting at the County table where the decisions about roads, paramedics, housing and economic development actually get made, and being ready to fight for your municipality every single time. That second job is where a lot of good local politicians disappear. Sean won't. He knows how to read a capital plan, he knows how growth has to pay its own way or it lands on the farm and the household tax bill, and he understands that a rural concession deserves the same attention as a new subdivision. Middlesex Centre is growing fast, and it needs someone at both tables who is prepared, collaborative and stubborn about results. That's Sean. I'm proud to endorse him for Mayor.

I had the pleasure of working with Sean during my two terms of office. He was a great ally, assisting us with our rural schools. He was informed, innovative and a knowledgeable partner. He brings a fresh outlook based on his experience and progressive stance.

Middlesex Centre is growing, bringing new families, expanding communities, and important investments in education and infrastructure. This growth requires leadership that understands how schools, childcare, safe routes, and municipal planning are interconnected and essential to building strong communities.

Middlesex Centre needs a Mayor who is prepared, thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on the long-term interests of its residents.

I know Sean Hunt brings these qualities to the table because I had the privilege of working alongside him and seeing his leadership in action. I have seen his commitment, his thoughtful approach to decision-making, and his understanding of the importance of working collaboratively.

I am proud to endorse Sean Hunt for Mayor of Middlesex Centre.

Deputy Mayor-elect, Central Elgin · Elgin County Councillor-elect · Former Vice-Chair and Elgin County Trustee, Thames Valley District School Board (2018–2022)

Sean Hunt and I were both elected to the Thames Valley District School Board in 2018 — Sean for Middlesex County and me for Elgin County. Over those four years, I had the opportunity to see firsthand the kind of person Sean is and how he approaches leadership.

Sean is thoughtful, prepared and willing to do the work. He listens carefully, asks good questions and isn't afraid to speak up when something needs to be addressed. Just as importantly, he knows how to work with people. He can be direct and principled while remaining respectful, constructive and focused on finding a way forward.

I especially saw those qualities through our work with municipal leaders from across the region. Sean understood the importance of bringing different perspectives together, having difficult conversations and building relationships that allow people to work toward a common goal.

Those qualities matter in municipal leadership.

Middlesex Centre is growing and facing important decisions about infrastructure, development, transportation, community services and the future of its communities. It needs a mayor who will show up prepared, listen to residents, ask the tough questions and work collaboratively to get things done.

I know Sean to be someone who will do exactly that.

I'm pleased to endorse Sean Hunt for Mayor of Middlesex Centre.
